What you'll be doing
The Education Support Officer (ESO) provides high level administration and project support to the Greater Eastern Paediatric Physician Training Network (GEPPTN) and the broader Junior Medical Officers at Sydney Children’s Hospital (SCH), Randwick.
The position is primarily responsible for the coordination and evaluation of the paediatric training program and educational activities of trainees employed within the GEPPTN and within SCH.
The ESO assists in the Recruitment and Human Resources administration for trainees employed in the Paediatric Medicine Rotation by the Network during bulk JMO recruitment as well as providing administrational assistance to the Director of Paediatric Education (DPE), Directors of Advanced Training (DAT), HETI Stream Coordinators for General and Community Paediatrics, Director of Medical Services (DMS), Chief Resident Medical Officer (CRMO) and others as required.

- Currently working towards or relevant tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in health, medical workforce, or training.
- Experience in education and training program development, implementation and evaluation in fields of health education, workforce and / or research .
- A broad knowledge of the healthcare system, including a demonstrated understanding of vocational training, health and recruitment procedures relating to Junior Medical Officers.
- Experience in and knowledge of Information Technologies and their application to education.
- Experience in organising meetings and supporting committees, including preparation and distribution of papers to ensure effective outcomes.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills with the capacity to build and maintain positive working relationships and partnerships.
- Demonstrated strong organisational skills and proven experience in the management of complete projects, complex documentation and multiple tasks in a timely manner and to meet assigned deadlines.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, analyse and audit data/information including financial information.
