Join our team and make a meaningful impact in the classroom. We are seeking a passionate educator to deliver our Education Support program designed to equip students with the practical skills and knowledge to support learning in school environments.

This highly regarded qualification prepares graduates to work as teacher aides, supporting literacy and numeracy development, diverse learning needs, and students with disability - helping shape the future of education in a growing and in-demand field.

The Role

As a TAFE Teacher in Education Support, you have the opportunity to influence the careers of future industry persons by sharing your extensive industry knowledge to students in a classroom or other educational setting.

We have two (2) exciting temporary part-time (0.5 FTE) Teacher roles available until 25 June 2027 (unless otherwise determined) to join our Education Support team at TAFE Queensland's Bracken Ridge and South Bank Campuses.

This position reports to the Educational Team Leader.

Salary

The salary range for a part-time Teacher Step 1 4 is $46,465.01 - $52,609.05 (gross) per annum plus superannuation contributions of 12.75% of your salary.

Mandatory Requirements

Applicants must possess the following:
Vocational competencies at least to the level being delivered and assessed;
CHC40221 Certificate IV in School Based Education Support.
current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that informs the training and assessment provided;
evidence of undertaking professional development in the fields of the knowledge and practice of vocational training, learning and assessment including competency-based training and assessment;
working with Children Check (Blue Card). For further information, please access: http://www.bluecard.qld.gov.au/;
current Queensland Driver's license.

Additionally, to become a TAFE Teacher, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials:

TAE40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
TAE40116 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
TAE40110 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools.
TAE50111 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training.
TAE50116 - Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or its successor.
TAE50211 - Diploma of Training Design and Development.
TAE50216 - Diploma of Training Design and Development, or its successor.
Higher level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).

Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience to be provided at interview.

Highly Desirable

Candidates who possess the following will be highly regarded:
High level of digital literacy skills across various platforms (online Learning Management Systems).
