About our School:
Bentley Park College is a Prep to Year 12 state school in southern Cairns, Queensland, established in 1997. The College acknowledges and respects the Gimuy Walubarra Yidinji Bama, the Traditional Owners of the land. The College provides an inclusive and supportive learning environment across Primary and Secondary sectors, including a Special Education Program. The College aims to provide students with a complete and well-rounded education, supporting their academic, personal and social development. Your opportunity:
Contribute to the provision of a quality educational service by assisting and supporting teachers with the preparation and enhancement of learning materials and associated activities.
Responsibilities:
Support teachers with classroom activities, sport and excursions.
Assist students with learning, literacy, numeracy and technology.
Support students with special needs and personal care where required.
Assist with student supervision, wellbeing, health and safety.
Prepare and maintain learning resources and equipment.
Complete administrative tasks and student records.
Build positive relationships through respect, empathy and confidentiality.
Work effectively as part of the school team.
Undertake other duties as directed.
