Full job description

Australia Wide| Casual Engagement| Janison Exam Management & Academic Assessment Services

Janison is seeking Expressions of Interest from education professionals to support the delivery of high-integrity assessment projects across Australia.

As part of our national casual workforce, you will have the opportunity to work across both Janison Exam Management (JEM) and our Academic Assessment Services (AAS) division — delivering assessments in schools, universities and other professional client testing environments.

Every project presents a different context, cohort and operational scope — ensuring no two engagements are the same.

About the Role:

Experienced Invigilators play a critical role in maintaining assessment integrity while fostering a calm, structured and supportive environment for candidates.

Depending on project scope and experience, responsibilities may include:

  • Supervising examination sessions in school and tertiary settings
  • Leading or supporting invigilation teams
  • Ensuring strict compliance with assessment protocols and security standards
  • Implementing approved reasonable adjustments accurately
  • Supporting candidates with professionalism and reassurance
  • Acting as a liaison between Janison and education stakeholders where required

Based on demonstrated capability and operational needs, you may be considered for Senior, Lead or Chief Invigilator responsibilities.

About you:

We are seeking professionals who demonstrate:

  • Experience working in education or structured assessment environments
  • Calm decision-making and confidence supervising examination settings
  • High professional integrity and procedural accuracy
  • Strong communication skills and confidence delivering instructions to diverse cohorts
  • A balanced approach to candidate wellbeing and compliance
  • Confidence using technology and online systems

Current or previous experience within school environments with relevant qualifications is highly regarded for AAS projects.

Experience in high-stakes testing or assessment coordination is highly regarded.

Requirements and Engagement Details:

  • Casual, project-based engagement, minimum 3-hour shifts
  • Opportunities across schools, universities and professional testing environments
  • Valid Australian working rights
  • Current Working With Children Check (state relevant)
  • Completion of onboarding and compliance requirements

Submission of an Expression of Interest ensures you are considered for upcoming projects aligned to your location, experience and availability.

Why Janison?

  • Join a supportive and professional team
  • Gain valuable experience in large-scare assessment operations
  • Flexibility and variety
