About the role

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Technician to join our Electrical team based at our Somersby, NSW manufacturing facility.

Reporting to the Electrical Workshop Coordinator, you will be working on state of the art equipment and will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with installing, commissioning, testing, monitoring, repairing and maintaining electrical systems, ensuring systems are in line with relevant safety regulations
  • Supporting and assisting Electrical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in designing and developing electrical systems
  • Performing electrical installation works in accordance to Site and Australian standards where required
  • Writing service reports for electrical systems
  • Collecting data, conducting tests and reporting on test results as directed by the Electrical Workshop Manager
  • Assisting in estimating material costs and quantities for electrical work in industrial projects

As we continue to grow our operations, this role is also involved with equipment upgrades, installation of new machinery and decommissioning of old machinery.

This is a full time position, with a compressed working week of Monday to Thursday (6:00am-4:00pm). Salary for this position will be not less than $79,499 per annum.

About you

To be considered for this position you will have:

  • Electrical Engineering Diploma or equivalent experience
  • Extensive experience in machine trouble shooting, problem solving and fault finding
  • Previous electrical experience
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Condition monitoring techniques
  • Leadership & supervisory experience
  • Have worked in a continuous manufacturing environment
  • Project management
  • Troubleshooting and problem solving

As part of the selection process, applicants must be prepared to undergo a pre-employment medical examination which includes functional, audiometric, drug and alcohol testing.
