As an experienced Electrical Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering complex electrical engineering projects across various sectors, including transportation, infrastructure, ports and maritime. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving the success of key projects, such as traction linewide systems, resignalling programs, SAT/TAP initiatives, and electrical infrastructure upgrades. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and integration of electrical systems that meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance.


Job Description

  • Technical Leadership & Delivery: Lead complex electrical design and engineering activities, ensuring compliance with standards, safety regulations, and project objectives (time, cost, quality).
  • Quality, Innovation & Expertise: Drive innovative engineering solutions while maintaining high-quality outputs, staying current with industry developments, and building recognised technical expertise.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Communication: Prepare professional reports and proposals, lead presentations, and engage effectively with clients, stakeholders, and industry bodies.
  • Capability Building & Risk Awareness: Mentor team members, contribute to industry engagement, and proactively identify and manage environmental and project risks.


Qualifications

  • Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s in electrical engineering (or related) with 5+ years’ experience in infrastructure projects; chartered/professional membership preferred.
  • Project Delivery & Technical Skills: Proven ability to manage complex designs on large-scale transport or urban projects, with strong knowledge of power systems, traction, and Australian standards.
  • Communication & Commercial Capability: Strong reporting, proposal writing, stakeholder engagement, and business development skills, supported by solid organizational and time management abilities.
  • Collaboration, Growth & Performance: Effective team collaborator across regions, committed to continuous learning, quality delivery, meeting deadlines, and building strong client and internal relationships.
