Auto Electrician | Blackwater Workshop Up to $69.00/hr + Super on All Rostered Hours | 7/7 Days Only | Permanent Full-Time

MacKellar is seeking experienced Auto Electricians to join our permanent maintenance team in Blackwater. Working from our modern workshop, you'll maintain a large fleet of heavy mining equipment while enjoying the stability of permanent employment, a supportive team environment, and an even-time roster that gives you around half the year off.

The Opportunity

As an Auto Electrician, you'll play a key role in keeping our heavy mining fleet operating safely and efficiently. Working within a structured maintenance environment, you'll complete scheduled servicing, fault diagnosis, repairs and component replacements across a range of mobile equipment.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults on heavy mining equipment
  • Performing preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
  • Conducting inspections, testing and electrical diagnostics
  • Completing breakdown repairs and component change-outs
  • Recording maintenance activities accurately and to site requirements
  • Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and performance
  • Working safely while contributing to a high-performing maintenance team
About You

To be successful, you'll bring:
  • Trade qualification as an Auto Electrician
  • Experience maintaining heavy mining or earthmoving equipment
  • Current Refrigerant Handling Licence (Air Conditioning Ticket)
  • Current Queensland driver's licence
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • A commitment to safety, teamwork and delivering quality workmanship
