Storeperson – Defence Theatre Logistics (DTL)

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Storeperson with MR Lic, LF Forklift Licence and a NV1 Security Clearance (preferred but not essential) to join our Defence logistics and warehousing team. This role is responsible for supporting warehouse operations, inventory control, freight handling, and the safe movement of Defence-related equipment and materials. This role is primarily weekday-based; however, some weekend work will be expected to support site requirements with penalty rates applied.
Based at Royal Military College in Campbell ACT , the successful candidate will work in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment where accuracy, accountability, reliability and teamwork are essential.
Duties will include use of WMS, MHE, inventory management, receiving, storing, picking, packing, strong computer skills and distribution of Defence equipment, supplies, and materials. Working under the supervision of the Team Leader, the Store Person Grade 3 ensures that all tasks are performed in compliance with Toll Government & Defence contractual requirements, Defence regulations, safety protocols, and operational standards. The role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.

How you’ll make the right impact
As a Storeperson, you’ll be the backbone of our site operations, ensuring efficient, safe, and compliant warehouse processes. Reporting to the Operations Manager and working closely with Team Leaders, you will:

Receive, store, pick, pack, and dispatch Defence equipment and supplies.

Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment.
-
Use warehouse systems to manage stock accurately and action reports.

Maintain safety standards, site cleanliness, and compliance with Defence regulations.

Collaborate with your team to achieve operational targets and deliver results that matter.
What you’ll bring
We’re looking for motivated individuals who bring:

Experience in warehousing, logistics, or related industries (desirable but not essential).

A current forklift license (or willingness to obtain one).

A valid driver’s license (C class).

Must hold current NV 1 Security Clearance

Working outdoors to deliver stores and equipment to defence personnel in the field

Physical fitness for manual handling tasks.

Strong teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.

A safety-first mindset.

Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
