Engineering Technologist (Telecommunications)

Indigo Links Pty Ltd provides network design, build, maintenance, and optimisation services across all fixed-line communication technologies. Over the years, we have successfully delivered numerous projects and maintain a strong portfolio of ongoing work.

Due to increased workload across current and upcoming projects, we are seeking applications from skilled and experienced Engineering Technologists to support delivery of fixed-line and wireless projects across Victoria.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and commissioning of telecommunications equipment including headframes, BBUs, RRUs, microwave systems, and radio antennas
  • Support troubleshooting and resolution of network faults to ensure minimal downtime
  • Conduct network testing and assist in performance optimisation activities
  • Work closely with engineering and construction teams to implement approved designs
  • Assist in ensuring projects are delivered within required timeframes and client specifications
  • Maintain network documentation, specifications, and ensure updates are recorded accurately in SharePoint systems
  • Support preparation and maintenance of project records, reports, and pipeline tracking for management and clients

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Sound understanding of fixed-line and wireless telecommunications networks
  • Basic understanding of civil infrastructure related to telecom projects
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and network designs
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and SharePoint
  • Good communication skills with the ability to engage with internal teams, clients, and field staff

Education & Experience

  • Qualification in relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in telecommunications technology or related engineering support role

Remuneration & Location

Salary - $76,000 - $80,000 excluding superannuation

This is a full-time position based in North Geelong Victoria.

Pay: $76,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
