English Teacher jobs

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary English Teacher to join our dynamic team. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the academic and personal growth of our secondary school students. The role will include teaching Middle School and VCE English classes.

This is a full-time ongoing position commencing Term 1, 2027.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Designing and delivering engaging English lessons that challenge and inspire students across our Middle School and Senior School.
• Assessing student progress and providing meaningful feedback to support their learning
• Collaborating with colleagues to develop and refine curriculum and assessment strategies
• Participating in extracurricular activities and school events to enrich the student experience
• Maintaining a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes student wellbeing
• Continuously improving your teaching practice through professional development and reflection

Skills and Experience

• VIT Registration is essential along with relevant tertiary qualification
• Solid experience in teaching VCE English to students in Middle and Senior School year levels.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues
• Flexibility, creativity, and a willingness to collaborate with the broader school community
