What you'll do
As the Senior Executive Support Officer, you will provide high-level, confidential support to the Chief Allied Health Officer and Executive Director, Early Career Reform. You will manage executive diaries, coordinate meetings and events, prepare correspondence, briefs and reports, and oversee communications to ensure the efficient operation of the office. You will build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders across Queensland Health, government, universities and the community sector, while exercising sound judgement and discretion when handling sensitive and confidential matters. You will also support executive priorities through research, secretariat services, administrative coordination, and advice on financial, human resource, travel and procurement processes. As part of a high-performing team, you will contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, streamline administrative processes, and deliver responsive, professional support to senior leaders and key stakeholders.
About you
We are searching for someone who has:
Demonstrated experience in providing high-level confidential executive and administrative support, effectively managing the office of a senior executive in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise, negotiate, and consult with diverse stakeholders, including senior executives, managers, and the public, on sensitive and complex issues.
Proven ability to work autonomously, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines while improving administrative systems, solving complex problems, and leading service improvement initiatives with conceptual and analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, adapt to shared responsibilities, and utilise advanced skills in Microsoft Office applications, eDRMS, and other relevant tools, while supporting ethical and inclusive workplace practices.
