genU is looking for a passionate & enthusiastic Physical Health & Wellbeing Consultant to conduct initial assessments, developing and monitoring individualised exercise programs at one of our sites in Fremantle, making adjustments as needed providing optimal person-centred outcomes. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone who has just graduated or has around 12 months experience as an Exercise Physiologist.

What you’ll do

As a Physical Health & Wellbeing Consultant in our Matchworks team you’ll:

• Work with individuals on a one-to-one basis and in groups on site to support those experiencing physical health and or wellbeing concerns.
• Conducting a range of assessments including functional capacity evaluation, musculoskeletal and fitness, worksite and ergonomic.
• Prescribe clinical exercise with a focus on work conditioning and strengthening modelled on client focused short term interventions.
• Delivering psycho-educational, work conditioning, manual handling, chronic pain management and strengthening group-based program

What you’ll bring

• Accredited Exercise Physiologist registered with ESSA (Exercise and Sports Science Australia)
  or an AHPRA registered Physiotherapist.
• Demonstrated ability to apply evidence based and best practice therapeutic approaches.
• Possess exceptional organisational abilities to facilitate the prioritisation and effective management of key duties

(You’ll also need an NDIS Worker Screening Check and Orientation Module Certificate – but don’t worry, we’ll help guide you through this.)

• Experience in the Disability Sector
• Previous experience in a similar role
