HD Fitter – Mobile Equipment Maintenance (MEM)

As we continue to expand, we are looking for experienced Heavy Diesel Fitters to join our team.

Role Overview:

As an HD Fitter at IMS Australia, you will play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and servicing heavy mobile mining equipment. Working on excavators, haul trucks, loaders, graders, and other mining machinery, your expertise will help keep mining operations running smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy mobile plant equipment.
  • Conduct scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance to minimise downtime.
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Overhaul and replace components to keep equipment operating efficiently.
  • Work collaboratively with a team to deliver high-quality maintenance services.
  • Maintain accurate service records and adhere to Australian safety standards.

Skills & Experience Required:

  • Trade qualification as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent.
  • 3–5+ years of experience in mobile plant maintenance, preferably in mining.
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience working with OEM equipment such as CAT, Komatsu, and Hitachi.
  • A commitment to workplace safety and compliance.
  • Current Australian driver’s licence (HR preferred).
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screening.
