CMG Frames has been delivering specialist wall, truss & facade framing services for high-end commercial construction projects. We are experts in lightweight steel construction.

About the Role

Reporting to the Factory Manager you will be an important member of our assembly and fabrication team. You work in a group environment with likeminded individuals, working in a fast paced and efficient team environment.

We are searching for a punctual, friendly and motivated person who will be willing to help with any required tasks.

Core duties include

You will work alongside other factory staff and the Factory Manager to assist in all aspects of wall frame and truss manufacturing, maintaining consistency and accuracy, delivering an accurate product.

This work includes:

  • Lifting pre-fab lightweight wall frames & trusses
  • Screw fixing lightweight steel frames with hand held drill
  • Welding, cutting & bending some structural elements
  • Stacking of finished frames with care
  • Maintaining a clean and efficient work space
  • Use of hand tools / saws
  • Labelling and strapping of materials
  • Following occupational health & safety standards at all times
  • Loading and unloading of transport vehicles

Licences, qualifications and experience

  • Eye for detail and care for the finished product
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Enjoy working in a fast paced team environment
  • Demonstrated time management skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of safety in the workplace
  • Ability to use hand tools / saws
  • Ability to get to Sunshine West by 6am
  • Forklift licence is desirable
  • Welding experience desirable
  • Previous steel framing experience desirable
