The team
Market Intelligence sits within the Markets Systems team in ASIC's Markets Group. The Markets Group is responsible for ensuring investors have confidence in Australia's financial markets and that market participants, infrastructure providers and gatekeepers operate with integrity, resilience and transparency. The Markets Group regulates financial markets and participants by closely working with government, industry and internal stakeholders to support market integrity, resilience and transparency.

You have strong statistical, programming and quantitative skills, ideally including R or Python, with knowledge of KDB and Q viewed favourably. You are confident working with large, complex datasets from multiple markets, vendors and proprietary sources, and can apply different technologies to collate, clean, process and analyse data efficiently and effectively.
You are a strong communicator who can distil and present analysis in a clear, concise and intuitive way for a range of audiences. You bring sound judgement, analytical, investigative and problem-solving skills, supported by business acumen and an understanding of Australian financial markets and the regulatory environment. You can adapt quickly to new requirements, show initiative, engage with multiple stakeholders and projects, and take responsibility for delivering high-quality outcomes.
