In this role, you'll:
Deliver exceptional customer service and provide streamline experiences when assisting passengers with inquiries and helping with luggage on our regional journeys.
Be responsible for a broad range of day-to-day station operations as well as manage the station presentation, cleaning and general maintenance.
Work alongside our train crew and other stakeholders to ensure that all safety standards are met and manage any potential safety risks that may arise and impact staff and passengers.

The position currently on offer is a permanent part-time role, with a minimum of 40 hours per fortnight, 4 hours a day. Employees will be required to work a rotating roster, with days of work and start and finish times varying according to operational and business requirements.
The full-time rate of pay for this position is $1,413.45 per week, including the Industry Allowance. As a part-time employee, you will be paid on a pro-rata basis calculated on your agreed hours of work. In addition, you will also receive superannuation and annual leave loading benefits.
All Customer Service Attendant positions work off a shift roster where your days, start and finish times. You may also be requested to work additional hours at short notice with the potential for overtime.
A Talent Pool will be created to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies, including both full-time and part-time positions, at Central Station over the next 18 months. Applicants assessed as suitable following the interview process may be placed in the Talent Pool. Should a vacancy arise in their preferred location, you may be contacted and invited to complete the required pre-employment checks.
About you
You have experience working face to face with customers and now want to be the first point of contact when our passengers arrive at your local station assisting with enquiries and luggage.
You are resilient and have outstanding interpersonal skills to provide clear and accurate instructions and can manage difficult conversations with a diverse range of people from all walks of life.
You are confident and have the ability to problem solve and make prompt decisions in a fast-paced environment under pressure whilst working alongside a variety of stakeholders in a safety focused operational environment.
