Pathfinders
Pathfinders is a large community-based organisation providing Supported Accommodation and Homelessness services, Family and Youth Support services, National Aboriginal Birth Certificate program, Client Support Services and Out of Home Care services.
Pathfinders’ services are located across the New England Northwest and Mid North Coast Regions of NSW. Pathfinders’ vision is that all children, young people and their families will have a home and family where they feel they belong, are free from abuse, neglect, discrimination and inequality, and are able to achieve and contribute to their full potential.

Non-Placement Support Service (NPSS program)
The Non-Placement Support Service (NPSS) program is a fee-for-service brokerage partnership with Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) and other Non- Government Organisations (NGO’s). The Department of Communities and Justice contract Pathfinders to provide a range of services to children and young people in Out of Home Care (OOHC) and their families.
The role will involve providing a range of practical and relationship-based supports to Young People, including but not limited to mentoring, transport, and supervised Family Time visits.

Mentoring
Support Young People to develop skills, confidence and independence in areas that are meaningful to them. This may include helping Young People explore their interests, develop new skills, work towards personal goals, and participate in positive activities and experiences.
Transport
Provide safe and reliable transport to support Young People to access a range of services, activities and opportunities within their community. This may include transport to sporting activities, education, health appointments, social activities and other identified supports.
Supervised Family Time Visits
Support Young People to maintain and strengthen connections with their families by facilitating safe, positive and meaningful Family Time visits. This includes providing appropriate supervision and support to ensure the needs, safety and wellbeing of the Young Person remain central to each visit.

Armidale | Inverell | Tamworth

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children and young people and wants to make a real difference in their lives, without committing to full-time work.

This position is Level 3 and Pay Point 1 under the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Modern Award (“the SCHADS Award”)
