Family Support Worker Early Intervention jobs

Footprints Early Childhood Intervention is seeking a compassionate and energetic Casual Children's Support Worker to support children under 18 years through play-based activities, community participation, emotional regulation and skill development. Ideal for students or graduates in Psychology, Education, Occupational Therapy, Speech Pathology, Social Work or related fields seeking meaningful hands-on experience working with children and families. Details: You will provide one-on-one support to children in home, community and recreational settings. Many children have experienced trauma, disability, developmental challenges, foster care, grief and loss, or social and emotional difficulties. We're looking for someone who is: - Warm, patient and child-focused - Playful, creative and engaging - Reliable and professional - Comfortable building positive relationships with children and families - Interested in developing skills in trauma-informed and strengths-based practice Essential: - Working with Children Check - Driver's Licence and reliable vehicle - First Aid/CPR (or willingness to obtain) - NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain) - Child Protection Awareness Training (or willingness to obtain) Highly Desirable: - Attended the free event about Interplay Therapy OR currently completing/completed the certificate in Interplay Therapy by Donna Berry (or willingness to obtain/learn more)
