If you’re motivated by supporting children, young people and families through complex challenges and want work that genuinely changes life trajectories, this role offers the chance to do that every day. You’ll step into a team that walks alongside people in moments of crisis and helps build stability, safety and connection that lasts.

What you’ll be doing
  • Supporting children, young people and families through trauma-informed, face-to-face mentoring that builds trust and safety
  • Working alongside parents to strengthen parenting capacity and support family preservation and reunification where children have been in care
  • Creating and holding safe spaces for meaningful family time visits that help rebuild relationships
  • Collaborating with individualised support plans that respond to each family’s needs and goals
  • Keeping clear, accurate records that ensure continuity of care and strong coordination with partner agencies
You’re the right person if...
  • You have real-world experience supporting children, young people or families in challenging circumstances
  • You bring a calm, grounded approach and can build trust with people from diverse backgrounds
  • You’re comfortable working in community settings and travelling between locations as needed
  • You’re reliable, self-directed, and committed to doing work that prioritises dignity, safety and connection
  • A valid NSW Paid Working With Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain prior to commencement)
  • Consent to be added to the Residential Care Workers Register
  • Minimum availability of 25 hours per week
  • Holds a valid P2 or Open Driver Licence and has access to a reliable, insured vehicle
  • Attained or working towards a relevant Bachelor's Degree or Diploma (Community Services, Youth/Social Work, etc.)
