About the role

Cutri Fruit requires a Horticulture Farm Manager, this position involves overseeing and managing the cultivation, growing and maintenance of vegetables, fruits, berries, nuts, or other crops

This position is full-time, and may be required to work shifts, including weekends.

This position reports to the Head of Orchard Operations..

Relevant tasks include, but are not limited to:

o Determining, implementing and monitoring production strategies, policies and plans

o Planning details of production activities in terms of output quality and quantity, cost, time available and labour requirements

o Controlling the operation of production plant and quality procedures through planning of maintenance, designation of operating hours and supply of parts and tools

o Monitoring production output and costs, and adjusting processes and resources to minimise costs

o Informing other Managers about production matters

o Overseeing the acquisition and installation of new plant and equipment

o Directing research into production methods, and recommending and implementing initiatives

o Controlling the preparation of production records and reports

o Coordinating the implementation of occupational health and safety requirements

o Directing staff activities and monitoring their performance

Skill Level: At least Cert Ill or IV or equivalent OR 3 years employment experience as a Horticulture Farm Manager with relevant formal training OR 5 years employment experience as a Horticulture Farm Manager with no formal training

Salary being offered is between $68,864 to $80,000, dependent on experience.
