At Comtex Communications, we’re continuing to grow across major infrastructure, transport, education, and commercial projects throughout NSW. With multiple large-scale projects currently underway — including major works across the Western Sydney Airport Metro corridor.

We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Cabler to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to build a long-term career within the telecommunications and structured cabling industry while working alongside experienced technicians on commercial and infrastructure projects.

You will receive hands-on training and exposure to a variety of telecommunications systems, structured cabling installations, fibre optic technologies, and network infrastructure projects across multiple sites.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Installing, terminating, and testing structured cabling systems including Cat5e, Cat6, Cat6A, and fibre optic networks
• Assisting with fault finding and diagnostics on copper and fibre infrastructure
• Installing and configuring network hardware including patch panels, switches, routers, and modems
• Supporting upgrades and modifications to telecommunications systems
• Using specialised tools and testing equipment including Fluke testers
• Ensuring all works are completed in accordance with ACMA regulations and workplace safety standards
• Working collaboratively with project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver projects on time and to a high standard

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• A genuine interest in telecommunications, networking, or technology-based trades
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Previous exposure to cabling, IT, or telecommunications work will be highly regarded but is not essential
• Cabling license
• At least 1 year of work experience

Pay: $81,000.00 – $89,000.00 per year
