About the Role
You will work in various sections of the Haematology laboratory and be responsible for the processing of specimens according to established laboratory procedures and issuing of results relevant to these specimens.
-
Work as part of a team to achieve high-quality work and produce accurate and timely reports.
-
Testing and release of results including transfusion, haematology, coagulation and blood film morphology
Classifications for this position will range from RX1 - RX7 ($63,674 - $91,785.2 per annum)
Your Contribution
-
Bachelor of Science/Applied Science (Laboratory Medicine/Medical Laboratory) or equivalent, AIMS accredited degree
-
Sound knowledge of the principles of diagnostic laboratory haematology and/or transfusion testing, and their practical applications
-
Competence in interpreting blood transfusion, haematological results and blood film examination
-
Good interpersonal, communication and time management skills
-
- Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

St Vincent's Pathology is committed to the provision of a comprehensive, high-quality diagnostic and consultative pathology service for St Vincent's campuses, GPs and medical specialists in the Melbourne area.
Pathology services are centralised at SVH Fitzroy in the Patient Services Building
