Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service

• Provide friendly, professional, and efficient assistance to customers
• Meet and exceed customer expectations
• Acknowledge all customers, including those waiting
• Multitask effectively during busy periods

Sales and Upselling

• Recommend add-on purchases (e.g., vases with bouquets, chocolates with flowers)
• Promote store services such as workshops, delivery and online ordering

Floristry (2+ years preferred)

• Create floral arrangements according to provided recipes and specifications
• Rotate stock to ensure older inventory is used first
• Take responsibility for breakage or damage
• Follow proper wrapping procedures
• Use pricing and stem count guidelines when preparing market stock
• Maintain correct stock levels according to premade stock position lists

Cleaning & Hygiene

• Maintain clean and safe workspaces
• Practice proper flower care hygiene
• Regularly sweep and tidy both the workspace and shop floor

Store Procedures

• Follow opening and closing procedures
• Accurately process orders and delivery bookings
• Report any wastage

Communication

• Communicate clearly with colleagues during shift changes
• Inform team leaders of special orders or stock concerns
• Relay customer feedback

Flower Care

• Ensure all flowers and plants are properly watered and cared for
• Handle stock gently and responsibly

Stock Management

• Prioritize use of older stock
• Take ownership of stock ordering and ensure timely turnover
• Order efficiently according to required stock levels
• Submit stock orders by 4 PM on Sunday, Tuesday, and Friday
• Assist in developing and communicating waste management reports and reduction strategies

Team Leadership & Support

• Ensure team adherence to procedures and stock standards
• Promote excellent customer service across the team
• Lead by example, especially in customer interactions
• Assist with training and supporting new team members
• Be flexible with your own roster to help cover team absences
• Verify all delivery orders are correctly prepared, including spelling of messages and address accuracy

Work Schedule

• Morning, Day, and Afternoon shifts
• Rotating roster
• Weekend availability required
