Our Northern division operates five beef processing plants across Queensland and Northern NSW, producing more than 400,000 tonnes of beef products every year.

Situated on 2,000ha, the JBS Riverina Plant is a part of the Riverina integrated farming, feedlot and processing operation. The cattle are walked from the feedlot to the plant, minimising stress and transportation costs, while simultaneously improving eating quality – one of only two in the southern hemisphere.

Based just outside Yanco, between the popular townships of Leeton and Narrandera in the heart of the Murrumbidgee Irrigation district (or Riverina region), our location ensures the ability to source high quality feeder cattle and grain to produce premium beef. The plant employs approximately 420 team members with a processing capacity of 600 head of cattle per day, operating 5 days per week.

About the Role

Are you an experienced Forklift with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? Join our dynamic team as a forklift driver in the bustling food production industry!

This is a full-time position with annual salary not less than $71,481.00 plus superannuation.

Key responsibilities include (but not limited to):

Operate forklift: Move, locate, relocate, stack, and count materials and merchandise within a warehouse, factory, or construction site.
Load and unload: Load and unload goods from vehicles like trucks and trailers.
Material handling: Stack, unstack, and store materials like boxes, crates, and pallets in designated areas.
Inventory management: Use radio frequency (RF) scanners to track inventory, pick orders, and maintain accurate inventory records.
Safety and maintenance: Perform daily safety checks on the forklift, report any defects or safety hazards, and ensure the equipment is clean and well-maintained.
Quality assurance: Check the condition of incoming and outgoing materials and ensure loads are properly stacked and secured.
Documentation: Complete forms, document the movement of goods, and handle paperwork like bills of lading.

About You

Forklift license is mandatory for operating a forklift, and VETASSESS Certificate is a must;
Key skills include attention to detail, spatial awareness, and the ability to work well in a team.
A strong commitment to safety and understanding of safe operating practices and regulations is crucial.
More than one-year experience in the same environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
The job requires the ability to operate the forklift for extended periods, which can involve sitting and standing
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
