The Opportunity
Due to an increased demand from our clients, we are looking for highly skilled and enthusiastic Project Managers to join the team. This role will suit you if you have excellent stakeholder management skills, strong technical knowledge, project and contract management experience working on multi-faceted projects and are comfortable operating across a variety of disciplines.
You will lead multiple large and complex assignments and be responsible for implementing and managing the delivery of infrastructure projects through various sectors and life cycle phases, ensuring practices and procedures are carried out efficiently.
You will also play an active role in mentoring and developing junior team members, fostering their growth and enhancing the overall capabilities of the project management team.

Whilst our office is based in Brisbane, a number of opportunities have been identified across South-East Queensland, with hybrid working conditions that suit the candidate, HKA and the client.
Typically, these assignments would be in the road, rail, airports, water and energy sectors, and center on leading, or providing advice on, the following:

Front end development of major infrastructure portfolios, programs and projects.
-
Management of projects through the planning phase, utilising Queensland Government or client assessment frameworks
-
Management of projects through the Preconstruction phase, using technical experience and knowledge of client/industry processes and specifications to develop optimised project solutions.
-
Project and Contract Management of projects through the Construction phase, across a wide range of construction contracts, and management of all elements of delivery to client specifications.
-
Development and transformation of the project, program or portfolio management capability and capacity of clients.
Skills and Experience
You will have proven experience with project/technical management of large-scale infrastructure projects across the road, rail, airports, water or energy sectors. This will be coupled with excellent communication skills and a confident ability to work and liaise with our clients and significant stakeholders.
Essential Requirements:

Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Project Manager across the noted sectors,
-
Proven experience in project delivery on large scale / complex infrastructure projects,
-
Current registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) and pre-qualification under various IBCP PM/CA subcategories for road PM’s,
-
Ability to prioritise and manage own time in an environment with several competing requirements,
-
The ability to take initiative and willingness to grow and develop internally,
-
Experience with WHS, environmental and quality management systems.
Desirable Requirements:

Client-side experience,
-
Excellent analytical and reporting skills, including proposal writing,
-
Project management experience across multiple infrastructure sectors is valued,

As a leading advisory business, additional consulting experience within strategic advisory, commercial advisory, or project controls is also valued.
