Brisbane Neurology is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive specialist practice in South Brisbane. This is a full-time role working 38 hours per week over 5 days.

About the role
In this role, you will be an important first point of contact for patients, doctors and other medical professionals. You will support the smooth day-to-day running of the practice by providing professional, efficient and caring reception and administrative support.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Greeting and assisting patients in a warm and professional manner
• Answering phone calls and managing email enquiries
• Booking, confirming and billing appointments
• Maintaining accurate patient information and records
• Liaising with doctors, patients and other medical practices
• Supporting clinical and administrative staff with day-to-day tasks
• Following practice systems, protocols and confidentiality requirements

About you
We are looking for someone who is reliable, efficient, organised and genuinely enjoys working with people. You will thrive in a busy specialist medical environment and be able to multitask while remaining calm, focused and compassionate.

To be successful, you will have:

• Previous medical reception experience, highly desirable
• Experience with Xestro or other medical software, preferred
• Neurology or specialist practice experience, advantageous
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to multitask in a busy environment
• A warm, caring and professional manner
• Strong teamwork skills
• A commitment to patient confidentiality at all times
