Full job description

We are seeking Medical Reception / Administration Team Members to join our brand-new Urgent Care Clinic in Mundaring -located with a General Practice.

We are currently recruiting for a number of Medical Receptionists to join our Medicare Urgent Care Clinic on a casual or permanent basis. You will be required to work a variety of shifts which could include weekdays, Mornings/afternoons/evenings and rotation weekend shifts. The Urgent Care Clinic will be open 7 days a week.

· Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

· Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Skills & Experience

· Previous experience working in a general practice or urgent care facility desired but not essential.

· Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

· Strong communication and time management skills

· A caring and collaborative approach to patient care and services

· Best Practice knowledge or any other clinical software

· Ability to multi-task and show attention to detail

· Ability to work autonomously or collaboratively within a team.

· Dedicated and enthusiastic work ethic

· Bright, engaging and confident personality

The successful applicants will assist with the smooth operation of the front reception. Duties will include (but not limited to):

· Greet patients and visitors to the Centre with a warm and welcoming attitude.

· Operate phone switchboard.

· Managing and update patient information accurately showing attention to detail

· Manage and coordinate patient bookings with GP appointment books

· Assist with patient enquiries

· Assist GPs with administration.

· Faxing and responding to Centre emails and incoming correspondence

· Processing of Medicare, DVA, third-party and patient billing

· Adhering to practice standard operating procedures and policies and procedures

· Maintaining a clean and tidy reception area

· Complete basic Centre cleaning chores and attend to spills

· Completion of day-to-day tasks and duties

· Reconciliation of daily banking and processing of Medicare claims
