The Opportunity

We seeking a dedicated General Practitioner to join our growing team, providing on-site medical care to residents within aged care facilities within the Newcastle region.

This role offers a truly rewarding opportunity to practise relationship-based medicine within a supportive and well-structured model of care. As a GP with Access Aged Care, you will be part of a coordinated multidisciplinary team — including experienced nurses, telehealth specialists, and administrative staff — all working together to deliver comprehensive, patient-centred care.

Our model is designed to reduce administrative burden, giving you the freedom to focus on clinical care and meaningful patient interactions. You will enjoy professional autonomy, a manageable caseload, and the opportunity to see the direct and lasting impact of your care on residents, their families, and facility teams.

Whether you are an experienced GP or newly Fellowed, this position offers flexibility, variety, and the satisfaction of knowing your work contributes directly to improving health outcomes for older Australians.

What We Offer

  • Attractive Daily Rate: Earn up to $2,200 per day for an 8-hour workday.
  • Support at Every Step: Collaborate with a dedicated team of nurses, telehealth geriatricians, physicians, and experienced admin staff.
  • Quality Over Quantity: Manage a caseload of around 25 patients per day, focusing on delivering genuine, person-centred care.
  • No After-Hours or Weekend Work: allowing you to enjoy your personal time.
  • Your Schedule, Your Choice: Enjoy flexibility to choose the days that suit you.
  • Room to Grow: Tailored for GPs interested in aged care, with clear pathways for long-term professional development in an expanding organisation.

What We’re Looking For

  • Availability: 1-2 days per week
  • AHPRA Registration: General or Specialist registration (no conditions).
  • Fellowship: RACGP or ACRRM Fellowship required.
  • Tech-Ready: Comfortable with system-based reporting and familiar with common clinical software.
  • Equipment: Must have access to a personal laptop.
