Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing support to General Practitioners and other clinical staff
• Perform triage and comprehensive patient assessments
• Conduct immunisations, wound care, ECGs, spirometry, and other clinical procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms and maintain clinical equipment
• Assist with chronic disease management and health assessments
• Manage recalls and reminders in accordance with practice policies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Follow infection control standards and ensure a safe clinical environment
• Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment plans
• Support accreditation processes and quality improvement activities
• Participate in emergency response situations as required
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with all professional and ethical obligations

Essential Criteria

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
• Demonstrated clinical experience in a general practice or primary care setting (preferred)
• Competence in vaccinations, wound care, and general treatment room duties
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous improvement

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Best Practice or other medical software
• Understanding of RACGP accreditation standards
• Previous experience in chronic disease management plans (GPMP/TCA)
