About the Role
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our clinical team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, support our doctors, and contribute to the smooth daily operations of the practice. This role requires strong communication skills, clinical competence, and a commitment to patient safety and best practice standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing support to General Practitioners and other clinical staff
- Perform triage and comprehensive patient assessments
- Conduct immunisations, wound care, ECGs, spirometry, and other clinical procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and maintain clinical equipment
- Assist with chronic disease management and health assessments
- Manage recalls and reminders in accordance with practice policies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Follow infection control standards and ensure a safe clinical environment
- Educate patients on health promotion, disease prevention, and treatment plans
- Support accreditation processes and quality improvement activities
- Participate in emergency response situations as required
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with all professional and ethical obligations
Essential Criteria
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Demonstrated clinical experience in a general practice or primary care setting (preferred)
- Competence in vaccinations, wound care, and general treatment room duties
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Commitment to patient-centred care and continuous improvement
Desirable Skills
- Experience with Best Practice or other medical software
- Understanding of RACGP accreditation standards
- Previous experience in chronic disease management plans (GPMP/TCA)
- CPR and First Aid certification
