At Eureka Villages, we’re passionate about creating communities where people feel at home. As one of Australia’s leading providers of independent living communities, we pride ourselves on delivering safe, welcoming and well-maintained environments where our residents can enjoy an independent lifestyle.

We’re looking for a hands-on Grounds & Maintenance Officer to join our Earlville village. If you enjoy working outdoors, take pride in maintaining beautiful gardens and facilities, and love the variety that comes with general maintenance and handyman work, we’d love to hear from you.

Why Eureka?

We Put People First. We Embrace the Challenge. We Commit and Follow-Up. We Act with Purpose. We Build Belonging.

When you join Eureka, you’ll become part of a purpose-driven organisation where you’ll help create safe, attractive and welcoming communities for our residents to enjoy.

What’s the Role?

As our Grounds & Maintenance Officer, you’ll play an important role in maintaining the presentation, safety and functionality of the village.

From keeping gardens looking their best to completing general repairs around the community, no two days are the same. You’ll work independently while building great relationships with residents and supporting the Village Manager to ensure the village remains a place people are proud to call home.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining gardens, lawns and outdoor areas through mowing, edging, pruning, planting and weed control.
  • Completing general handyman tasks including painting, minor repairs and fixture replacements.
  • Carrying out routine maintenance such as changing light bulbs, replacing locks, cleaning air conditioning filters and high-pressure cleaning.
  • Responding to maintenance requests promptly and professionally.
  • Operating hand and power tools safely.
  • Maintaining maintenance records and supporting workplace health and safety requirements.
  • Providing friendly and respectful service to residents and contractors.

What’s in It for You?

This is an opportunity to enjoy meaningful work while maintaining a healthy work-life balance.

You’ll enjoy:

  • A permanent part-time position with consistent weekday hours.
  • No weekend or public holiday work.
  • $28.87 per hour (Aged Care Award Level 2)
  • A supportive team environment where your contribution is valued.
  • The opportunity to work outdoors and stay active.
  • Building genuine relationships with residents and making a positive impact in your local community.

What’s it Like Working at Eureka?

At Eureka, you’re more than just a Grounds & Maintenance Officer.

You’re an important part of the village community. Residents will appreciate the care and pride you take in maintaining their home, and you’ll enjoy the satisfaction of seeing the difference your work makes every day.

Is This Role Right for You?

We’re looking for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on work and takes pride in delivering a high standard of presentation and maintenance.

Ideally, you’ll bring:

  • Experience in grounds keeping, gardening, landscaping or a handyman role.
  • Confidence using hand and power tools safely.
  • A proactive approach and the ability to work independently.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in your work.
  • Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner.
  • An understanding of safe work practices and WHS requirements.
  • A current Police Check (or willingness to obtain one).

If you’re looking for a rewarding part-time opportunity where you can combine your maintenance skills with meaningful community engagement, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and become part of a team that’s building communities where people truly belong.
