Company Overview
Yes Plastering and Painting is a well-established specialist in both commercial and domestic projects. Our commercial work primarily includes partitioning, flooring, painting, and tiling, while our residential services cover full-house renovations — from demolition and wall construction to repairs, painting, flooring, and landscaping. We also undertake dedicated plastering subcontracts for builders. Due to continued growth, we are now seeking a full-time Qualified Plasterer to join our skilled team.

About the Role
This is a hands-on role for a plasterer experienced in delivering quality finishes across a variety of projects. You will be involved in new installations, repairs, and specialised plastering subcontracts, working on everything from residential interiors to commercial fit-outs.

Key Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Planning and Layout: Determine plasterboard layout and install insulation and vapour barriers to prepare surfaces for cladding.
  • Plasterboard Installation: Measure, mark, and cut plasterboard; lift, position, and securely fix panels to walls, ceilings, and battens.
  • Bead and Moulding Work: Prepare, install, and secure corner beads, and fix pre-cast cornices, panel mouldings, and other decorative plaster fittings.
  • Joint Finishing: Expertly cover joins and nail holes with wet plaster and sealing compounds, then smooth them using wet brushes and sandpaper for a seamless finish.
  • Plaster Application and Mixing: Mix plaster, cement, and render to the correct consistency, then apply coats to structures using trowels, levelling and smoothing them to a uniform thickness.
  • Accuracy and Straightening: Ensure all work is perfectly aligned by plumbing and straightening corners, angles, and wall and ceiling surfaces.
  • Decorative and Specialist Finishes: Create specified decorative textures in finishing coats and apply and finish acoustic, insulating, and fireproofing materials integrated with plaster or similar compounds.
  • Site Compliance and Teamwork: Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy work area, responsibly manage materials, and collaborate effectively with team members and other trades.

About You
You are a qualified plasterer focus on quality and safety. You take pride in your work and are keen to join a growing business with a steady workflow.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Certificate III in plastering (wall and ceiling)
  • Minimum 2 years of post‑qualification plastering experience
  • Valid White Card
  • Ability to work efficiently from plans and layouts
  • Own reliable transport and driver’s licence
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to delivering a clean finish
