Full job description

We are a fast-growing Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) brand with ambitious national expansion plans. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Franchising Development Manager to lead the signing of development commitments across the United States. This role is pivotal to our brand’s continued growth and success, and we are seeking someone who thrives in a dynamic, relationship-driven environment.

As the General Manager – National Development, you will own the process end-to-end — from identifying and cultivating prospective franchisees, to qualifying leads and guiding them through every step of the development and approval journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Territory Management: Develop and implement strategic territory management plans. Identify franchise growth opportunities, design local recruitment strategies, and establish sales forecasts.
  • Franchisee Recruitment: Source, screen, and qualify potential new franchisees as well as evaluate existing franchise partners for further opportunities.
  • Franchise Development Process: Guide candidates through the development and approval process with an in-depth understanding of franchise documentation and key milestones.
  • Deal Execution: Lead negotiations and deal-making from initial contact through to signed agreements. Fully understand and navigate the Development process, including deep knowledge of the FDD, all related document requirements, key stakeholders, processes, and timeline targets. Coordinate internal teams and stakeholders to keep deals moving efficiently.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with teams across Development, Operations, Finance, Legal, and more to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
  • Pipeline Management: Utilise CRM tools to track progress, identify bottlenecks, and drive continuous process improvement.
  • Administrative Excellence: Ensure all documentation, reporting, and process steps are completed accurately and in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field (required)
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 3 years in franchise development, sales, or related business development role
  • 5+ years in the franchise industry preferred, ideally within the restaurant or QSR sector
  • Multi-brand experience across both established and emerging concepts is a plus

Key Skills & Knowledge:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with proven successful sales experience.
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management Systems.
  • Good business analytical skills including statistical and financial.
  • Ability to effectively negotiate with small and sophisticated organisations alike.
  • Understanding of the financial and contractual components of franchise agreements and deal structures.
  • Knowledge of FDDs, legal aspects of franchising, contract content and construction and industry standards.
  • Ability to interface and maintain excellent professional relationships with a variety of constituents that are material to the franchise development process.
  • Ability to successfully work on teams with diverse individual skill levels and field-based team members.
  • Ability to multi-task by executing numerous projects with timely follow-through
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint, Word and Excel.

About Us
We are a high-energy, people-first QSR brand focused on delivering amazing customer experiences. With significant momentum across the U.S., now is the perfect time to join our expanding franchise team and help shape the future of our brand.
