Mount Isa Mines is seeking Expressions of Interest from motivated individuals interested in entry-level operator opportunities with our zinc, lead and copper surface processing, smelting and operations teams. Details On Opportunities
These opportunities may include positions such as operators, metallurgical plant attendants, trades assistants and plant operators across our Queensland Metallurgical Operations.
Successful candidates will receive training and development to safely be competent, while building a long term career within surface mining.
These residential roles are based in Mount Isa and offer a variety of rosters including some with the nightshift component. Roster subject to dependant position.

In these roles you could be responsible for tasks such as:

Operating plant and equipment safely and efficiently
Conducting pre-start inspections and checks
Assisting with operational and maintenance activities as required
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping
Following site safety procedures and operational requirements

To be a successful applicant you must have:

A strong commitment to safety and teamwork
Reliability, punctuality, and a positive work ethic
A willingness to learn new skills and processes
Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment
A current Australian Manual Driver's Licence
The ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening
A willingness to relocate to Mount Isa at your own expense
