At Jacobs, we're using digital technology to help solve complex challenges for our clients across a range of industries and as we grow our Digital Architecture & Software Development group, we're now looking for a Perth based Application Developer to support the development of innovative mobile applications.

If you're looking to build a career in mobile application development, this role offers an excellent platform to do just that. With a strong focus on developing and supporting mobile solutions across iOS and Android platforms, you'll have the opportunity to deepen your technical expertise, work on meaningful projects and gain valuable experience delivering solutions that are used in real-world operational environments.

This role will be primarily based within a client office, working as part of an integrated project team and supporting the delivery of digital solutions that make a real impact. The position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable client-side exposure, develop strong stakeholder engagement skills and broaden technical capabilities while working alongside experienced professionals. It's ideally suited to someone looking to take the next step in their career and accelerate their growth as a mobile application developer while gaining exposure to consulting, digital delivery and client engagement.



Key responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test and support mobile applications across iOS and Android platforms
  • Design, develop, test and support web and database applications
  • Develop user-friendly, secure and scalable digital solutions
  • Support application deployment, maintenance and ongoing enhancements
  • Collaborate with project teams to deliver high-quality outcomes for clients
  • Communicate effectively with project managers regarding priorities, progress and deliverables
  • Build strong working relationships with colleagues and clients through effective communication and delivery
Here's what you'll need
  • Degree qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, Geospatial Science or a related discipline
  • Experience developing mobile applications for iOS and/or Android
  • Understanding of application development principles, frameworks and deployment processes
  • Exposure to web and desktop application development
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn new technologies
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a collaborative environment
  • Experience working with GIS or spatial data, exposure to ESRI ArcGIS products and technologies, and an understanding of cloud-based application development and integrations would be advantageous but are not essential
