About the role
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Print Room Operator which will be based within our client’s school print centre in the Eastern Suburbs. The Print Room Operator is a key contributor within the VIC Direct Service team. In this role you will provide the full provision of services including Print production and the preparation and distribution of print work.
The role requires a multifaceted and agile approach, given its customer service nature and the day-to-day functioning of the print centre. If you enjoy solving problems and exceeding client expectations, this role will be perfect for you.

Requirements:
Reporting to the Service Delivery Manager, you will be fully trained to be responsible for:
  • Print room production and document composition duties
  • Ensuring high quality internal and external documents are produced in the print centre
  • Providing offline finishing, binding, scoring and laminating
  • Utilising job submission software to receive and manage print requests
  • Manage overflow and speciality requirements with outsourced print partners
  • Pre-production document design, editing and composition to suit the individual job requirements
  • Basic level trouble shooting on production printers
Who are we looking for?
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working autonomously
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service using various communication methods such as face-to-face interactions, over the phone and via email
  • Proven experience as a print room operator
  • Flexible, willing to assist, comfortable to meet deadlines in line with SLA’s
  • Enjoy collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, including 3rd party suppliers
  • Familiar with KM Production equipment would be advantageous
  • Good understanding of the end-to-end production workflow
  • Sound skills in:
  • Microsoft Office applications
  • Adobe CC
  • Graphic Design
  • Quoting
  • Wide format
  • IT network and software application-related troubleshooting experience will be very highly regarded
  • This role will need to deliver finished products around the client campus and therefor a level of physical fitness will be required
  • Living as close as possible to the Eastern Suburbs would be advantageous
As per Konica Minolta compliance procedures, the successful candidate will be required to undertake background checks (which includes a police check). Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to pass a Working with Children check.
