Join Unity Bank in a critical specialist role supporting the stability, performance and continuous improvement of our core banking platform. This opportunity is ideal for a banking systems professional who brings deep, hands-on experience with the Ultracs core banking system and enjoys working across operations, vendor management, system support and process uplift in a collaborative banking environment.

Your organisation

Unity Bank is a member-owned organisation with a long history of putting people before shareholders. With no external shareholders, our focus is on delivering value to members through strong service, trusted relationships and products that support the communities we serve. Joining Unity Bank means being part of a purpose-led bank where your work contributes to a business built on mutuality, service and long-term member outcomes.

The opportunity

  • Provide day-to-day administration and operational support for the Ultracs core banking system.
  • Execute and oversee BAU core banking processes including statement runs, interest rate updates, parameter changes and end-of-day or end-of-month processing.
  • Monitor system health, scheduled tasks and processing outcomes to maintain stable and reliable operations.
  • Investigate, resolve and escalate incidents, service requests and system issues in partnership with internal teams and external vendors.
  • Support hotfixes, patches, compliance updates and vendor-supplied enhancements.
  • Assist with reporting, data extracts and operational or regulatory information requests.
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce manual effort and strengthen operational efficiency.

What we're looking for

  • Hands-on experience administering and supporting the Ultracs Core Banking System is essential.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar banking systems, application support or core banking operations role.
  • Strong understanding of core banking BAU processing, operational controls and incident management.
  • Experience working with vendors to coordinate issue resolution, fixes and system enhancements.
  • Strong problem-solving capability with the ability to investigate issues and drive practical outcomes.
  • Experience supporting reporting, data extraction and operational business requests.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with business stakeholders, technology teams and third-party providers.
  • Tertiary qualifications in information technology, business systems or a related discipline will be well regarded.

What we offer

  • Work for a member-owned bank with a strong community and service focus.
  • Take on a highly specialised role with meaningful impact across core banking operations.
  • A collaborative, values-driven environment where your expertise is trusted and your contribution is visible.
  • Develop your expertise in a hands-on environment with close vendor and stakeholder engagement.
  • Enjoy a Sydney CBD location with access to a central banking and corporate hub.

We’ve built a values-based team and nurture a culture where our members are at the forefront of what we do. As a member of the Diversity Council of Australia, we recognise the benefits that diversity brings to our organisation. We strive toward a collaborative culture which capitalises on the diverse skills, backgrounds and experiences of our employees.
