Details: The HR Officer, Diversity and Inclusion plays an important role in supporting the Education Directorate's commitment to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels valued, respected and empowered to succeed. Working within the Diversity and Inclusion team, you will help coordinate a range of initiatives, programs and networks that promote diversity, equity and inclusion across our large workforce. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and organised professional who is passionate about fostering inclusive cultures and making a meaningful difference for people and communities.

In this dynamic role, you will collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders to coordinate diversity and inclusion activities, support employee diversity networks, prepare communications and briefing materials, and contribute to the effective delivery of strategic workforce initiatives. You will join a supportive and values-driven team that is committed to innovation, collaboration, respect and integrity, while helping to build a workforce that reflects the diversity of the community it serves.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:

• Relevant experience and/or qualifications in administration, diversity, inclusion, and/or HR desirable but not essential.

Note: This is a temporary position available 19 October 2026 until 9 May 2027 with the possibility of permanency. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
