Baker's Assistant (Part-Time or Casual) – Bakers Delight Wellington Village

Love working with food? Join our bakery team!

Bakers Delight Wellington Village is seeking a motivated and reliable Baker's Assistant to support our baking team in producing the high-quality breads and baked goods our customers love.

This is a hands-on food production role that would suit someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in producing quality food products.

About the role

Working alongside our qualified bakers, you will assist with a variety of bakery production tasks including:

  • Preparing ingredients and products for baking
  • Assisting with bread production and finishing
  • Tray preparation and product handling
  • Cleaning and maintaining bakery equipment
  • Following food safety and hygiene procedures
  • General bakery production duties as required

What we're looking for

  • Reliable and punctual
  • Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Physically capable of being on your feet for extended periods
  • Able to work as part of a team
  • Committed to maintaining high food safety standards

Food handling experience is highly regarded, particularly experience gained in:

  • Bakeries
  • Cafés and restaurants
  • Food manufacturing
  • Commercial kitchens
  • Delicatessens or supermarkets

Hours of work

  • Part-time or casual position available
  • Approximately 2–3 shifts per week
  • Shifts are typically 8:00am to 1:00pm
  • Monday to Sunday roster
  • Some weekend availability is required, however most shifts will be worked M-F
