For more than 170 years, Anglicare has supported older people through dignity, practical care and meaningful experiences. As part of our evolving For Life service model at Warriewood Brook, we are enhancing dining experiences that bring residents together and support wellbeing through high‑quality food and service.

Our café and hospitality services is a key part of daily life in the village — and this Head Chef role leads that experience.

Your Opportunity

Full Time | Warriewood (38 hours per week)

As Head Chef, you’ll lead the café and village catering operations, ensuring food quality, service consistency and efficient kitchen management.

You’ll play a key role in shaping menus, leading a small team and delivering an experience where meals are more than food — they are moments of connection for residents and guests.

This role is ideal for a hands‑on leader who enjoys ownership, thrives in a dynamic environment and is motivated by delivering consistent, high‑quality outcomes.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead kitchen operations across café and village catering services

  • Supervise and support one casual chef and kitchen staff

  • Ensure consistent food quality, presentation and service standards

  • Monitor costs, minimise waste and manage kitchen budgets

  • Maintain food safety, hygiene and compliance (HACCP & WHS)

  • Contribute to a positive, team‑focused kitchen culture

What You’ll Bring

You’re a capable and people‑focused Head Chef who combines strong kitchen leadership with a genuine commitment to service.

You know how to balance quality, cost and efficiency while creating a welcoming environment for both residents and team members.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in a Head Chef or senior kitchen leadership role

  • Strong skills in stock control, ordering and cost management

  • Experience planning menus and delivering consistent food offerings

  • Confidence leading and developing small teams

  • Sound knowledge of kitchen operations, food safety and compliance

  • Flexibility to work weekdays, weekends and Thursday nights

  • Certificate in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)

Ideally, you’ll also bring:

  • Experience in aged care, retirement living or café environments

  • An understanding of service environments where customer experience is key

  • A passion for creating food experiences that bring people together

  • Stable, full‑time role with consistent hours

  • Supportive team and leadership environment

  • Ongoing development opportunities

  • Discounts across 400+ retailers

  • Employee Assistance Program and Fitness Passport
