  • Support staff rostering and day-to-day coaching operations when required.
  • Promote a positive, professional and inclusive team culture.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has a genuine passion for swimming and developing athletes.
  • Demonstrates strong leadership, communication and organisational skills.
  • Leads by example with professionalism and integrity.
  • Is confident working independently and collaboratively.
  • Has experience coaching swimmers across multiple levels.
  • Is committed to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement.
  • Has the ability to motivate both swimmers and fellow coaches.

Essential Requirements

  • Current Working With Children Check.
  • Current CPR Certificate.
  • Current First Aid Certificate.
  • Relevant Swimming Australia coaching qualifications.
  • Previous swim coaching experience.
  • Experience mentoring or supervising other coaches is highly desirable.
  • Availability to work mornings, afternoons and weekends for competitions.

What We Offer

  • Competitive hourly rates starting from $35.35 per hour, with higher rates offered based on experience, qualifications and coaching ability.
  • A guaranteed minimum of 15 hours per week, with opportunities for additional coaching hours as the program continues to grow.
  • Additional paid hours available for coaching at club competitions, race meets and special events throughout the year.
  • A genuine leadership role within one of Perth’s fastest-growing swim programs.
  • Ongoing mentoring and professional development.
  • A supportive, passionate and high-performing coaching team.
  • The opportunity to coach swimmers from learn-to-swim through to State and National level.
  • Long-term career progression opportunities as YU Swim Squad continues to expand.

If you are passionate about coaching, enjoy developing both swimmers and fellow coaches, and are looking to take the next step in your coaching career, we would love to hear from you.

To apply, please send your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your coaching experience, leadership experience, qualifications and availability.
