In this role you will provide expert advice and administration for graduate research admissions, scholarships and candidature. You will help graduate researchers and supervisors navigate key milestones while driving continuous improvement in Faculty processes.
What you will deliver:
-
Provide accurate, timely advice on graduate research policies, procedures and candidature matters to diverse stakeholders.
-
Administer admissions and scholarship processes, including scoring applications and assessing eligibility against entry requirements.
-
Manage faculty-level assessments of candidature variations and milestone reviews, updating records and following up overdue reports.
-
Prepare and maintain reports on courses, applicants, scholarships, supervisors, completions and enrolments for decision making.
-
Contribute to effective communication, stakeholder relationships and continuous improvement initiatives across the Graduate Research Office.

Hold a relevant degree and experience within the higher education or research administration sector.

Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills, managing competing deadlines with sound judgement.

Provide high-quality client service to diverse cohorts, maintaining confidentiality and navigating complex policy requirements.

Build productive relationships with academic, professional and external stakeholders, influencing outcomes through collaboration.

Apply advanced computer skills, including spreadsheets, enterprise databases and word processing, to streamline administration.

Develop, interpret and document business processes, policies and initiatives that enhance graduate research administration.

Your new team
You will join the MDHS Graduate Research Office, a specialised team supporting over 1,900 graduate researchers and 1,800 supervisors across Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences. Working closely with Schools, Departments and partner institutes, the team oversees admissions, scholarships and candidature management to ensure a high-quality research experience. You will be part of a collaborative, values-driven environment that champions continuous improvement, client-focused service and strong connections with the Faculty’s vibrant research community.
