Your new role
We have an incredible opportunity for a maximum term part time (parental cover) Pathways Worker to join our dynamic collaborative team. This is a parental leave replacement position and is expected to conclude in June 2027.
Located in the heart of our programs, you'll engage with individuals who visit our Meals Program and Engagement Hub, and provide them with assessment information, advocacy, crisis intervention, referrals, and a friendly chat.

Your day-to-day
- A typical day will involve meeting new clients and undertaking assertive engagement within our Engagement Hub.
- You will have the opportunity to provide support, advocacy, crisis intervention, and housing assistance to people experiencing disadvantage and homelessness.
- Based at our Grey Street Engagement Hub, you will work to build professional and trusting relationships with the 250–300 people who attend the service each day for meals, support, and connection.
We're looking for someone who
- Holds a minimum Diploma or Degree qualification relevant to the delivery of community services.
- Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Has the capacity to engage effectively with clients experiencing complex needs.
- Is confident in responding to crisis situations and managing challenging behaviours in a professional and trauma-informed manner.
- Has experience working within homelessness, mental health, alcohol and other drug (AOD), or broader community service settings.
- Holds a current First Aid and CPR certificate or is willing to obtain these qualifications within the first three months of employment.
- Most importantly, you are passionate about supporting people experiencing disadvantage and are committed to delivering person-centred, respectful, and inclusive services.
You can look forward to
- A maximum-term part-time role.
- A roster of Wednesday to Saturday, with shifts:

- Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:00 am – 3:00 pm
- Saturday: 8:30 am – 2:30 pm
- These days and hours are non negotiable.
