Full job description

Corrimal Healthcare Centre is a busy, established general practice in Corrimal, NSW, currently operating with four full-time GPs and a GP registrar.

The successful applicant will work alongside experienced GPs and receive clinical support and supervision, with access to practice nursing, reception and allied health services.

VR and Non-VR General Practitioners are encouraged to apply. Doctors requiring Level 1 supervision will be supported.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive general practice consultations for acute and chronic medical conditions.
  • Assess, diagnose and manage patients and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Provide chronic disease management, preventive healthcare and health promotion.
  • Undertake appropriate referrals, investigations and follow-up care.
  • Provide emergency assessment and initial management where required.
  • Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
  • Work collaboratively with other GPs, practice nurses and allied health professionals.
  • Participate in clinical case reviews, quality improvement activities and continuing professional development.
  • Undertake home visits where clinically appropriate.

Skills and experience

  • Medical degree recognised in Australia.
  • Current AHPRA registration or eligibility for registration.
  • Sound clinical assessment, diagnostic and management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Commitment to patient-centred care, professional standards and continuing education.

Supervision and support

The successful applicant will receive appropriate clinical supervision and mentoring from experienced GPs, together with support from practice staff and allied health professionals.

Remuneration

$99,848 per annum guaranteed, or 60% of gross billings, whichever is higher.
