HOSPITALITY TRAINER & ASSESSOR – PART TIME

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an initial casual position with strong potential to grow in line with course demand and your availability. You will deliver high-quality training and assessment in accordance with the relevant training package and Swiss Institute of Australia's Training and Assessment Strategies.

Qualifications You Will Deliver:

  • SIT30821 – Certificate III in Commercial Cookery
  • SIT40521 – Certificate IV in Kitchen Management
  • SIT50422 – Diploma of Hospitality Management
  • SIT60322 – Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging, industry-relevant training and assessment across all four qualifications
  • Apply your real-world hospitality expertise to bring learning to life
  • Adapt delivery methods to suit diverse learner needs and learning styles
  • Conduct pre-training assessments and tailor training accordingly
  • Maintain RTO-compliant assessment tools and documentation
  • Uphold professional standards including time management, student support, and deadline adherence
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and dynamic learning environment aligned with Swiss's values

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident or Working Visa Holders
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122) — current and valid
  • Minimum 3–5 years of relevant hospitality industry experience
  • Demonstrated experience in training and assessment within an RTO environment
  • Current National Police Check (issued within the last 3 months prior to appointment
  • Strong organisational skills with high attention to detail
  • Genuine commitment to supporting students from diverse backgrounds and learning needs
