Powerhouse Museum is located at the intersection of arts, design, science, and technology and plays a critical role in engaging communities with contemporary ideas and issues. It is the custodian of more than half a million objects of national and international significance and is considered one of the finest and most diverse collections in Australia. About the Role
We’re looking for energetic, friendly, and confident people to join the Powerhouse Parramatta Visitor Host team. Full time, Part time and casual opportunities are available. In this role you will create a welcoming and inclusive experience for everyone who visits. You will engage with our visitors, share information, support exhibitions and events, and make sure visitors feel comfortable. The role requires the ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, public holidays, depending on programming. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where every day is different.

About You
You are someone who genuinely enjoys connecting with people. Whether meeting someone for the first time or engaging with a diverse crowd, you bring warmth, enthusiasm, and a can-do attitude to every interaction. You thrive in busy, public environments, adapting easily to changing situations while remaining calm and reliable under pressure. Passionate about inclusion and accessibility, you believe everyone should feel welcome, valued, and able to participate fully. Experience in hospitality, retail, festivals, events, customer service or community work is helpful, but not essential.
