About Federal Hospitality

Working in one of Tasmania’s most stunning locations, on the waterfront just outside the Hobart CBD at Wrest Point, you will join our motivated and experienced team as Administration Officer.

Federal Hospitality, a family-owned business with a 50-year legacy, operates iconic Tasmanian properties such as Wrest Point, Country Club, MACq01 Hotel, The Henry Jones Art Hotel, Saffire Freycinet and the Vantage Group Hotels. Recognised as an Employer of Choice, we value creating great workplaces where everyone belongs.

What can you expect from a day in this role?

The Administration Officer provides comprehensive administrative and coordination support across Federal Hospitality, enabling effective internal communication, structured administration, and supporting the efficiency and effectiveness of the General Manager’s office.

The role balances general administrative support with the establishment and maintenance of administrative systems, processes and reporting that underpin customer experience activity. This may include:

  • Administrative and organisational support to Federal Hospitality leadership and operational teams to enable effective planning, coordination and communication
  • Coordinating calendars, meetings and logistics, including diary management, scheduling and preparation of supporting materials
  • Preparing, formatting and maintaining internal documents, reports and presentations in line with organisational standards
  • Coordinating the production and distribution of a regular internal newsletter summarising key activities, initiatives and updates.
  • Managing shared mailboxes, general correspondence and document control, ensuring information is accurate, current and accessible.
  • Support the coordination of staff events, training sessions and internal communication activities.
  • Support the establishment and ongoing operation of the organisation’s Customer Experience function through structured administrative coordination.

What will you bring to the role?

You’ll love working as an Administrator who likes to learn new processes, improve efficiency and take on new challenges. Your experience in administration, sales, marketing or equivalent will help you succeed.

You’ll also bring with you:

  • Demonstrated experience in administrative or coordination roles within a complex or fast paced environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • High level written communication skills, including document preparation and internal communications.

What you can expect from us

This is an excellent opportunity to join Tasmania’s largest private employer, based at Wrest Point. This is a chance for you to advance your skills, work with award-winning brands, join an excellent team and grow your career.

Along with this fantastic role, you will also receive:

  • Delicious FREE staff meal available per shift and FREE secure onsite parking at Wrest Point
  • FREE monthly dry cleaning.
  • Access to hundreds of discounts across many brands, helping you save on everyday expenses, including phone bills, fuel and groceries, fashion, restaurants, and entertainment.
  • Supportive work environment with learning and development opportunities.
