Full job description

At Bethanie, we believe great people create great outcomes. Our culture is collaborative, supportive and grounded in care, for our residents, our communities, and each other. We invest in our people, encourage curiosity, and create meaningful opportunities to grow and thrive.

We’re excited to be recruiting a Human Resources Coordinator to join our People & Transformation team. This opportunity is available through internal career progression, reflecting our commitment to developing our people and supporting their next steps. Now, it’s your turn to grow with us.

Reporting to the Senior HR Business Partner and working closely with our broader People team, this role is ideal for a recent HR graduate or early‑career professional ready to build a strong foundation in human resources.

What we offer

  • Permanent, full‑time role based at our West Perth office
  • Flexible working arrangements, including up to 2 days working from home per week
  • Exposure to a broad, generalist HR portfolio in a supportive, values‑led team

About the Role

This is a hands‑on, generalist HR role that supports the delivery of high‑quality people services across the organisation. You’ll play an important role in day‑to‑day HR operations while also contributing to the development and implementation of HR initiatives, policies and processes.

You’ll gain exposure across the full employee lifecycle, including employee relations, learning and development, onboarding and payroll, making this an excellent opportunity to build capability and confidence early in your HR career.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for employee HR enquiries, providing timely, professional and customer‑focused support
  • Assisting the HR Business Partner team with employee relations matters, and performance management processes
  • Responding to enquiries relating to HR policies and the relevant Enterprise Agreements
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and documentation
  • Preparing employment contracts, letters of offer and change‑of‑conditions documentation
  • Supporting the preparation of HR reports and workforce data and surveys
  • Managing compliance requirements across learning and development, visas and other mandatory employment obligations
  • Supporting and enhancing the new starter onboarding experience to ensure a positive and engaging start at Bethanie

About You

You are people‑focused, organised and eager to learn. You enjoy variety, take pride in delivering quality service, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.

You will bring:

  • A qualification in Human Resources (or currently working towards one)
  • A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail
  • The ability to manage competing priorities in a dynamic environment
  • A collaborative approach and the confidence to build positive working relationships
  • Resilience and adaptability in response to changing priorities
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and HR systems
  • A high level of integrity and respect for confidentiality
  • Experience in a high‑volume administrative or HR environment (highly regarded)

Working with Bethanie

At Bethanie, we are committed to being an employer of choice by creating a supportive, compassionate and flexible environment for our people. In addition to a rewarding and purpose‑driven career, you will have access to a range of benefits, including:

  • Financial benefits:
Salary packaging up to $15,899 per annum for everyday living expenses, plus up to $2,650 per annum for meals and entertainment, and additional benefits for parking — increasing your take‑home pay
  • Wellbeing benefits:
A comprehensive mental health and wellbeing program and free annual flu vaccinations
  • Culture and connection:
A supportive team environment, regular team events and an annual awards night
  • Lifestyle benefits:
