What you will do
As senior policy officer, you will help shape policy and reform that improves outcomes for victims of crime.
You will work across complex issues and contribute to major government priorities.
You will:
- develop high-quality policy advice and legislative reform proposals that reflect victims' experiences
- prepare clear reports, briefings, submissions and correspondence for ministers and senior leaders
- provide expert advice to support frontline victim services and government decision-making
- contribute to complex reform projects that improve support for victims of crime
- build productive relationships that help achieve better outcomes for victims.
About you
A tertiary qualification in public policy, public administration, law, human or social sciences is highly desirable.
You should also have:
- strong knowledge of policy development and government processes
- excellent written communication skills and close attention to detail
- sound judgement, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- effective project delivery skills and the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
