About the Team

Our national IT support team provide timely and effective IT support to all JWS staff nationally. As the firm continues to grow and implement new technology to support the growth, our IT team manage all aspects of deployment to ensure a smooth and efficient user experience.

About the Role

An opportunity for an IT Support Officer exists to join our Sydney office on a full time basis. You will support the IT team to provide remote 1st level IT support to all members of the firm. In addition, you will provide 2nd level desktop support to members of our Sydney office.

This role will see you draw on your strong communication and customer service skills to troubleshoot or escalate day to day IT issues across the firm.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Hardware and software support, equipment set ups, and meeting room conference support
  • ITIL service management process
  • Service desk ticketing system call logging, and updating in accordance with SLA's
  • Assist with IT changes and upgrades as directed

About You

You obviously have plenty of technical aptitude and previous relevant experience, but there is much more to you. You:

  • have a minimum of 1 yr previous experience with Microsoft OS and Office application support;
  • operational knowledge of Microsoft Desktop technologies;
  • familiarity with computer hardware and network technologies;
  • excellent skills in critical thinking, problem solving, troubleshooting and analysis;
  • work well under pressure, meet your deadlines and excel working in a team;
  • have strong communication and stakeholder management skills and you aren't afraid to use them, internally and externally; and
  • take a collaborative, positive and energetic approach to everything you do
  • law firm or professional services experience is ideal
