A Phendit Disability & Home Care Service is a growing disability and home care provider committed to delivering safe, person-centred, compliant and high-quality support services. We are looking for a practical and reliable Casual IT & Application Specialist to support our internal systems, digital workflows, staff technology needs and care-management applications.

About the Role

The Casual IT & Application Specialist will provide day-to-day technical and application support across Phendit’s business systems. This role will assist staff with system access, troubleshooting, digital forms, SharePoint/Teams support, client record systems, workflow improvements, reporting support and general IT coordination.

This position is suitable for someone who is organised, tech-savvy, patient with staff, and able to support a growing care organisation with practical technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level IT and application support to staff and management.
  • Assist with Microsoft 365, Teams, SharePoint, Outlook and OneDrive support.
  • Support the setup and maintenance of digital forms, document libraries and internal workflows.
  • Assist with user access, permissions, passwords and account setup.
  • Provide support for care-management, rostering, HR, payroll and finance-related applications as required.
  • Help maintain organised electronic client and staff records in accordance with privacy and compliance requirements.
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, mobile device and connectivity issues.
  • Support staff with onboarding to internal systems and applications.
  • Assist with system documentation, user guides and process improvement.
  • Escalate complex IT issues to external providers or senior management when required.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with Phendit’s privacy, cyber security, data protection and record-keeping policies.

Selection Criteria

The successful applicant should have:

  • Experience providing basic IT, systems or application support.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to troubleshoot common computer, phone, email and application issues.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to explain technical issues in simple language.
  • Good attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate digital records.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Understanding of privacy, confidentiality and safe information handling.
  • Previous experience in disability, aged care, health, community services or NDIS-related systems will be highly regarded.
  • Experience with Employment Hero, Xero, Power Automate, Microsoft Forms, Dynamics 365 or similar systems will be an advantage.

Essential Requirements

  • Right to work in Australia.
  • Current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check, or willingness to obtain if required.
  • Working With Children Check may be required depending on duties.
  • Reliable internet access and ability to work remotely when required.
  • Own laptop or willingness to use company-approved equipment in line with IT security requirements.
